Hi all,
Just a reminder of our Batizado on the 7th and 8th May. The workshops will take place from 12-6 on Saturday and Sunday. We will also be having a short class followed by a roda with all the visiting teachers on the Friday 6th May which will cost £4 for students of Pernada Baiana and £8 for visitors.
The batizado costs £85 but will go up to £100 from 2 weeks before the event so please pay up early so you take advantage of the cheaper price! As Marcio has mentioned on many occasions in his classes – this is OUR batizado and is organized for all the students so please come and share your energy. It’s a really great opportunity to learn new moves, sequences, songs and meet other students & teachers of our group from abroad.
Above all, the most important thing is to enjoy yourself and play as much as you can! Our batizados only happen once a year so don’t miss out on this one…
Axe,
Charlie
P.S Please remember that you need a uniform if you’re going to do the Batizado.
P.P.S If you’re not training hard already now is the time!
This Thursday 31st March – we are having a roda to raise money to aid the humanitarian crisis in Japan. The roda will start at 7:30 pm at the LA Fitness Waldorf and I hope that as many of you can come and join. £6 each and all proceeds will go to charity via the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.

Hi All,
We’re doing a street roda for the Goldborne festival this Sunday 20th June and we need as many people to come down and play! Let’s all meet at 1:45PM at Ladbroke Grove tube. We can get a bus down to the festival together.
The Roda will prob kick off around 2PM and go on for an hour or so…
Please bring your berimbau or pandero if you’ve got one. The good news is that we should get free food and drinks after so will be a nice way to spend a sunday afternoon.
Hope to see you then and give me a buzz if you’ve got any queries.
Axe,
Charlie
